Mag. Katharina Habimana, responsible for policy matters at the Austrian National Public Health Institute (Gesundheit Österreich GmbH), is an economist by training and involved in several projects related to pharmacoeconomics. She is part of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Policies team and contributes to WHO consultancy and national and EU projects regarding pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement. Katharina Habimana holds a master’s degree in economics from the Business University Vienna and has been working at GÖG since 2011. She has extensive experience in project management, facilitating processes (e.g. Austrian healthcare reform), drafting reports on health systems (e.g. as co-author of the Austrian HIT-profile) with profound knowledge of research methods (health economic modelling, econometrics, multi-criteria decision making analysis, quantitative and qualitative interviews, data management).
