Real-world data (RWD) refers to evidence obtained from real world evidence (RWE), which are observational data obtained outside the context of randomized controlled trials (RCT) and generated during routine clinical practice, such as from pharmacovigilance reports, electronic health records, registries, medical or reimbursement claims databases.
