An entity, a person or a company that sells goods to consumers. In the pharmaceutical sector, this is the umbrella term for facilities that dispense/sell medicines (prescription-only medicines/ POM and Non-Prescription Medicines/NPM) to patients, e.g. community pharmacies, other POM dispensaries such asÜ dispensing doctors, hospital pharmacies, pharmacy outlets, medicine chests, drugstores, supermarkets, etc.

Eine natürliche oder juristische Person, die Waren an Endverbraucher verkauft. Dies ist ein Überbegriff Im Arzneimittelsektor und trifft auf diverse Abgabestellen bzw. Händler zu: Abgabestellen für rezeptpflichtige Arzneimittel (Apotheken, hausapothekenführende Ärztinnen/Ärzte) oder auch Drogeriemärkte und Supermärkte, sofern diese zum Verkauf von – in diesem Fall nicht-rezeptpflichtigen - Arzneimitteln befugt sind.
